Q: Does this kit shift the wheel mounting surface causing the wheel and tire to move outboard? If so, how much does the wheel mounting surface move.
Answered by ☆ sales - March 17, 2022
A: This Wilwood kits use the stock drum hub and spindle. There should be no change in wheel offset to our knowledge. Wilwood states in the instructions that the wheel track may change, based on the application. You should check your wheel offset before and after installation.

Q: Hi, I have a Dana 44 with front discs and wanted to upgrade to Wilwood discs all around. The instructions say these fit 66-75 drum brake spindles. How do I tell if I have the original drum brake hubs and spindles?
Answered by ☆ sales - December 11, 2020
A: If you have a disc conversion already, the drum spindles and hubs are likely long gone. They are not used in the common disc conversions, and not interchangeable. To run the Wilwood kit, you WILL need to have the correct recommended parts from the stock drum setup. If you do not have them, you will need to find them good used, as they are not currently available new. With a GM disc kit, we do have part # 3024, a Wilwood caliper set, which may replace your current calipers and be an easier upgrade.

A: With the Wilwood kits, you can reuse your factory locking hubs. You will also be reusing your drum spindles, drum hubs, and bearings.

Q: Hi, I have a Dana 44 with front discs and wanted to upgrade to Wilwood discs all around. The instructions say these fit 66-75 drum brake spindles. Is there a different kit that will fit my application or would I need to install a set of drum brake spindles?
Answered by ☆ sales - April 22, 2019
A: For the front, you will need Stock drum hubs and spindles. The rear kits are even more specific. You will want to check your rear axle offset and other specs. If Wilwoods kit specs. do not match your specs, the rear kit will not work without modification or fabrication.
