Asked by Bob, October 9, 2021

Q: Does anybody know if this speaker will fit with Vintage Air under the dash?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - October 11, 2021

A: Vintage Air says, SureFit systems may interfere with some OEM radios or in-dash speakers. Doesn't sound promising.

Asked by anthony adams, November 11, 2020

Q: will this speaker mount to the exsisting holes that the factory speaker uses?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - November 11, 2020

A: Normally yes. But, some earlier Broncos had a different mount pattern. Check your dash measurements first, then compare to the mounting dimensions on our product page.

1 Answer

Answered by sales - September 24, 2019

A: Yes, drilling new holes in the dash would be the easiest method of mounting the speaker.

Q: Will this fit a 66 dash? Will it fit the speaker ready fiberglass door panels?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - January 4, 2017

A: This speaker should fit your 66 dash. You will want to double check the speaker mounting hole spacing with your dash. They are too small for the speaker door panels, and do not come with any type of grille.

I have had 5 early Broncos in the past 50 years, and as always, have had excellent service and products for them from Wild Horses. Fast delivery, and products that always perform.

I finally was able to install the Retro Speaker in my '76. I followed a cue from other reviews and used fabric to isolate the speaker from the metal dash. I chose to use a small American flag to give my dash a little pop. The speaker fits well in the original speaker location. The clips provided can be a little frustrating, but I found that crimping them to make the snug fixed the falling off problem. The speaker sounds great and is alot louder than I thought it would. Great Product in my opinion.

Wild Horses new retro sound in-dash speaker is the perfect solution for Bronco owners like myself who don't want to add obtrusive speakers yet want the dual cone sound. Great product.
