Reid Racing ARP High Steer 4 Stud Kit for Dana 44 Flat Top Knuckles

Includes Studs, Cones & Nuts | Built to Clamp Down on Serious Steering Performance

Designed for use with Reid Racing flat-top Dana 44 knuckles, this ARP 4-stud kit delivers extreme strength and reliability for mounting high steer arms on custom off-road rigs.

  • 4th Stud for Reid Knuckles – This kit includes the fourth stud for use on Reid Racing Knuckles

  • Fits 1" to 1.5" Thick Arms – Compatible with most aftermarket high steer arms

  • Application: Dana 44 with Reid Racing High Steer Knuckles

These studs are designed to thread directly into the top of your flat-top Dana 44 knuckle, creating strong, secure mounting points for your high steer arm. Once installed, the high steer arm slides over the five studs, aligning with the knuckle’s machined surface. Provided cones and nuts are then used to tighten the arm down evenly across all four points, providing maximum clamping force and stability. This setup eliminates the need for through-bolts or makeshift solutions, ensuring the high steer arm stays firmly in place even under the extreme stress of off-road driving.

Why High Steer Matters:

The primary advantage of a high steer setup is the increased clearance it provides by raising the drag link and tie rod above the axle, mounting them to the top of the steering knuckle. This repositioning is critical for keeping your steering components out of harm’s way when navigating rocks, deep ruts, or thick mud—common hazards on serious off-road trails. It’s not just about protection—proper high steer geometry also ensures your steering linkage operates at the correct angles, especially on lifted rigs. This helps prevent bump steer and maintains smooth, responsive handling even during extreme articulation. Done right, a high steer conversion improves both the durability and drivability of your off-road build.
