Reid Racing #D44001C

The Reid Racing Flat Top Extreme Duty Knuckles are designed for serious off-road performance and are interchangeable with all factory and aftermarket Dana 44 components. Built for strength and durability, these knuckles are cast from high-strength ductile iron and reinforced with extra material and ribbing for superior performance.

  • Heavy-Duty Construction – High-strength ductile iron with reinforced ribbing

  • Flat Tops for High Steer – Machined & drilled for high steer arms with extra 3/8” thickness for added leaf spring clearance

  • Stronger High Steer Mounting – Includes 4th bolt hole for increased clamping force & shear strength (3-hole arms still fit)

  • Versatile Spindle Bolt Pattern – Accepts “outers” from all open knuckle Chevy & Jeep Dana 44, Dana 30, and 10-bolt front ends up to 1986

  • Improved Steering Stops – Cast-in dual steering stops prevent bent bolts, reducing u-joint and axle failure risks

  • Tie Rod Compatibility – Accepts factory tie rod ends and can be drilled for 3/4” heim joints

  • CTM U-Joint Clearance – Machined to fit CTM U-joints without removing grease fittings

  • Bright Orange Powder Coating – Long-lasting durability and bold styling

  • Compatible with 10-Bolt & Early Dana 30 Axles – Some minor modifications required

Compatibility & Fitment:

  • Fits 1978-79 Bronco and 1976-79 Ford F-150 tie rod ends
  • Will fit 10-bolt and early Dana 30 axles with minor modifications
  • No warranty included
  • Spindle studs NOT included

"First met the owner of WH in the late 1980's, Pre-Wild Horses. He came by my home twice to get me the correct knuckle for my bronco. Been doing business with him ever since." - Donald V. on Google Reviews

They are much thicker and heavier than the stock knuckles. Also, its super handy that they are already tapered for tie-rod-over installations. If your using the cast-in tie rod points on these knuckles (not high steer arms bolted to the top), then be aware that the shape of these knuckles is such that the actual point where the tie rod attaches to the knuckle is closer to the tire/wheel than it is on the stock knuckles. First of all, this means you'll be adjusting the tie rod to make it longer, and then re-centering the steering wheel. More importantly, this might cause some clearance issues for some. I'm running 15 inch wheels with 3.75 backspacing and the giant WH "Clydesdale" tie rod ends, and the inner wheel weights *barely* clear those huge Clydesdale tie rod ends. Great product, though. Casting and machining quality are top-notch. I'll feel much better in the rough stuff with these holding up the front end of my admittedly overweight Bronco!
