Rampage Speedy Trac Early Bronco Soft Top

This Rampage soft top is an excellent choice for your 66-77 Ford Bronco. The Rampage Speedy Trac soft top is modeled after the classic Specialty Top (STC) and Kayline early Bronco soft tops. This top is easy to install and requires only minimal drilling for installation. All necessary mounting hardware and framework is provided with this soft top.

The Rampage Speedy Trac early Bronco soft top features zip-out tinted side and rear windows that can easily be removed to run as a safari style top. The black powder-coated frame features an easy fold-down mechanism for quick removal.

The Diamond Black material on this top is a premium 20-ounce marine grade vinyl reminiscent of sail cloth. It is similar to the Black Denim style material that was offered on the old Kayline and STC early Bronco soft tops.

Q: Are doors and door frames required for this to work? (I have Baja inserts and no doors). Will this Rampage soft top frame also allow the use of a basic bikini top at times when full top is not needed?

A: Doors and door frames are NOT required for using this top. You can use the Rampage bikini with the same riser bracket which is included in the full top kit.

A: No, the top comes with its own frame and supports. It does not require a roll bar.

A: As long as your cage will fit under the stock hard top, it will fit under the Rampage top.

Q: Can the top material fit on an STC soft top Frame? Do you sell just the skin to do so?

A: Only complete tops are sold, no replacement skin or cover. The new top includes all new frame and hardware. We have heard it is similar, but, may not fit the STC framework as well as new. We have not tried ourselves.

I installed the Rampage soft top on my early Bronco. The fit and finish is good. I chose to throw away the screws provided to mount the hoop bracket and I installed 1/4 20 bolts instead. I don't understand why they thought screw would be a better fastener for this application. Many people mentioned problems with the instructions but if you read them completely first and refer to the diagram on the last page it is pretty simple. Great top for the price.

I knew this top wasn't the one I really wanted, but the price was tough to beat. I was disappointed in the instructions, and the quality of the top. There are several sections where the instructions were inaccurate, or incomplete. The drill bit sizes, how to snap the top to the cross bar, among others proved to be frustrating and a waste of time. I would not buy this top again.

As others have mentioned, the instructions suck, but you can do this in a day. The back window zippers are also not the best. They close fine, for now, but I can see two parts where the zippers have a small gap in the mesh - not sure if that's there intentionally or what, but I'm concerned it will lead to premature failure down the road. I'm also not the biggest fan of how the door frames just rest on the forward bow (the forward bow is the one WITHOUT the snaps on it) to secure the frames in place. Having said all that, it is quiet on the highway, keeps me dry, and seems to fit pretty good overall. Happy camper.

Top installation was pretty straightforward. The directions weren't the greatest, but easy enough to follow. I've had it on for a few weeks now, I really like the way it looks, even better it is pretty quiet when running down the road! I'd recommend this top, seems like a pretty good deal for the cost!

Top and hardware are good quality, fit just rite. Snaps on rear bow don't line up but thats not detrimental to the over all function or fit. Great price and as usual Wild Horses was fast to deliver with quality parts.

Took off the hardtop, threw this thing on in minutes really. Directions seem pretty specific but once you start it basically puts itself together. Took it out that night @ about 50 degrees post sunset without the back windows in and it wasn't windy cold or uncomfortable at all. Almost makes me wanna get rid of my hardtop. Then again, I'll probably just hold onto it.

Mostly satisfied with Rampage Soft Top on my 75 Bronco. The snaps on the rear of the top do not align correctly with the bar and prevents securing of all the snaps. Installation directions could be clearer and more accurate (e.g. several parts misidentified on parts list). Use caution when drilling holes for door side rails since measurements based upon vehicle that is perfect. Any sag to doors results in door window frame and soft top door post hitting each other. Overall looks nice on the truck and I recommend the product.

Installed my top on the 4th, all though it went on fairly easy, had to make some adjustment to the door bars so that the doors would close. The written directions were not that good, but pictures help. Was kind of disappointed with not having a wiper motor cover or something to hide the motor/linkage. top went on pretty good with the exception of the snaps on the rear bow, still cannot stretch it to reach the last snap, maybe after a few weeks it will stretch out enough to be snapped.

Super fast delivery. It took a few hours to install, there are a lot of nuts, bolts, and washers in different sizes. The directions were great until about 1/2 through, and you follow the drawings because the step by steps are not well written. I was not at all thrilled at having to drill into the door jamb for the upright bar to seal the door. But, it looks great, is very well built and a solid structure for the top. I ordered the diamond, which is a heavier marine grade material. It seems like it will hold up the the elements. My bronco did not have a top when I bought her. Now I can drive this winter in the rain, and summer I just unzip the windows for a nice bikini top! Worth the $, thanks WH!

This top was an excellent addition to my 69'. I like the fact that all windows can be removed for great airflow while the roof keeps you in the shade. Directions were clear and easy to follow. Looks as good as it works. Highly recommend.
