This tapered reamer will allow you to ream your existing knuckles to the larger Ford tie rods or the "GM 1 ton" steering tie rods. This is also the same tool you'd need to place your tie rods on top of the steering knuckle or what's commonly called a "Tie Rod over conversion", or TRO.
•1-1/2" taper per foot or 7.125 degree included angle.
•6 Flute straight reamer design.
•Overall length is 6-1/2", flute length is 4-1/2", major diameter is .995".
•Shank diameter is 1/2" with a square on the end.
•To be used by hand with a tap wrench, in a drill press, or vertical mill with a 1/2" or larger drill chuck or collet.

Q: Does this reamer allow me to use stock size 79 bronco tire rod ends?

A: Yes, this tapered reamer will allow you to enlarge the taper or your stock holes, for the larger full size tie rod ends, with early Bronco knuckles.

Q: Is this the same reamer I should use to open the tie rod holes of a 76-77 knuckles to use the t style tie rod?

A: You can use the reamer to enlarge your current holes for earlier tie rods, or we have a T style available for the 76-77 #2390.
