Q: how does this vent secure to the engine bay panel?

A: Normally it does not. The side of the vent is screwed to the kick panel, and the engine bay portion rests on the cowl, between the cowl and hood.

Q: Does the deluxe passenger air vent include gaskets, mounting screws?

A: The passenger vent comes with the vent itself, and the gasket between its top and the hood. No other gasket/seal or hardware is included.

A: Yes. Not to say it can't be done, it is certainly easier to remove the fender.
