Q: Since Flame Thrower II coils aren't compatible with Ignitor I systems, is it safe to assume the distributor is an Ignitor II? Also can I get the distributor with a black cap?

A: Yes, this Pertronix kit features the Pertronix II coil and II electronics installed in the distributor. The distributor comes standard with a black cap.

Q: Is this distributor offered with a steel gear or do I need to purchase one separately. Going in a 1996 explorer

A: We do not offer it with a steel gear, or offer a gear for it. One will need to be sourced for use with a roller cam.
