Asked by Erik Juno, July 21, 2021

Q: Will the trac bar riser interfere with the bump stop or heavy duty spring cups? Also, what is the max amount of rise that it provides?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - July 21, 2021

A: Yes, potentially interference with both. Normally either or both can be trimmed, or room can be made, for all of it together, with modification. The max rise, c-c from the stock track bar bolt on a D30 or 71-75 D44 is 4.5. On a 76-77 D44, about 3 by design.

Asked by Glenn Weiner, April 17, 2021

Q: What size is the bolt that holds the track bar on the riser bracket and should it be welded onto the bracket? Thanks!

1 Answer

Answered by sales - April 20, 2021

A: The riser comes with a 3/4 x 3.5 bolt. Yes, we will normally weld the head of the bolt, to the bracket, leaving the shank side clean.

Asked by philip, March 16, 2016

Q: I have the trac bar riser for the dana 30 and it works great. problem is the axle bump stop that's there now is to short as the axle is about 6 away or so. I do not see anything about a replacement solution for this on your site.

1 Answer

Answered by sales - March 17, 2016

A: We have taller front bump stops, #'s 1528, 3 and 1539, 4 1/2 depending on the amount of travel you want.

"I've installed 5 of these on mine and others' Broncos. On this '77 axle, I did have to notch the riser for the sway bar mount, but other than that, it's awesome! Getting ready to grab another one for a Dana 60 swap into an early Bronco. It’s a well-designed product that only needs a very clean surface to weld to. I'd also recommend doing the work with the axle out of the truck. I've done it both ways and prefer out vs. working under the Bronco." - Jason R. on Facebook

I ordered the Track bar riser kit. It arrived quickly & looked just like the one pictured on-line. This thing is brutal tough, something that I know won't go south when I'm off road.

This will be my second WH's riser. First one worked like a charm after my over knuckle steering conversion. This one will go onto a different housing with a BC WAH, the riser I had was not strong enough to handle all the new flex. This one will be perfect and way less work than fabing what I need from scratch.

This is a well made piece. It fits perfectly even on my modified housing. I'm extremely happy with this purchase.

Very robust piece that will correct your steering geometry if you have a substantial lift on your Bronco... Shipping to Hawaii was quick and easy. I would certainly recommend this product! Aloha

Fitment is great and a very stout unit. I do have the extreme duty lower coil mounts and it is a very tight fit with these. I may do some some slight grinding to not have them touching.

When working on my 1979 Ford F150, that the previous owner lifted around 7", there was parts that were not installed causing the vehicles steering to bind and drive very poor. This track bar bracket along with a drop pitman arm, provided me the correct suspension geometry to handle as it should and allow the steering to have full range of motion. Great product!

Installed easily and appears to be strong enough for the job. Adjustments allowed for a perfectly aligned Trac bar and Drag Link.

Order process was accurate and delivery was within the posted shipping times. Trac Bar is very high quality. Instructions are detailed and easy to follow. I used a large bench vise to install the bushings. The bar mated to the existing axle contact point with no difficulty. Overall the product performs as desired and centers the axle under the frame.

Great, simple, strong product. The trac bar riser is also well designed to fit multiple axle applications for cost savings. Typically though, I require my sponsors to pay ME to wear their logo...

The TB Riser is well designed, and the install is very straight forward with the included directions. I am running tie rod over steering, 5.5 lift, and everything clears fine.

Buy this for your lift instead of the Trac Bar Drop Bracket. It keeps the trac bar up high and out of danger from trail hazards.
