Q: Can this mat be used in the bed of a 72 half cab?

A: There may be some fitment needed, maybe trimming. Otherwise, we cannot see why it wouldn't work. Great idea!

A: Yes and No. You could likely make it fit with some modification. But, it is not designed to fit the 77 exactly.

Q: What is the thickness of this floor mat? Does it require to under mat (3255) also to sit flat, or is it stand-alone?

A: The rubber is approximately 1/8 thick. The under mat would help smooth the ridges in the rear, but, the rear is stand alone.
