San Felipe Rear Weld-In Family Cage Kit, 66-77 Ford Bronco
Product Overview:
Make quick work of adding on to your existing San Felipe, Smittybuilt or other similar tube bar with our rear weld-in cage kit. This kit fits under hard or soft tops and consists of four pieces. Two parts make up the rear hoop.
We use the same swedging method as our San Felipe tube bar. This way we can ship non-truck freight for considerable savings. All tubes are coped and ready to weld. Minimal grinding may be needed for a perfect fit to your existing bar. Same 2" .120 wall as the rest of our San Felipe items. The San Felipe tube bar fits under the stock full hard top.

Asked by Eric, November 11, 2022
Q: My rear portion of my roll bar attaches to the wheel well. Are the rear vertical pipes long enough to reach the bed?
Answered by ☆ sales - November 14, 2022
A: No, the uprights are not long enough to reach the floor. This kit relies on the tubes being taller, and near the tailgate.
Asked by Dustin, May 4, 2020
Q: Can I weld this kit to the existing stock roll-bar in my 71?
Answered by ☆ sales - May 4, 2020
A: Maybe, if your existing cage is similar in design to our San Felipe, #4258, it should be ok. The 4259 ties into the main hoop, and support legs near the tailgate. If you don't have those, there is a good chance, it won't work. Check the pics for both, and installation instructions on our site.
Asked by John, February 24, 2020
Q: I would like to use the rear family cage without any other roll bars in order to support a safari top. Will this rear cage stand alone for that purpose?
Answered by ☆ sales - February 24, 2020
A: No. The rear family portion relies on an existing cage for mounting. These pieces are to be welded to the existing base cage, like our 4258 San Felipe. This will not work as a stand alone piece.

Asked by Thomas Weber, September 21, 2019
Q: I have your Sport Custom Cage will this work as an add on for my current roll cage?
Answered by ☆ sales - September 24, 2019
A: No, the tubing is smaller diameter, and the design is different from our San Felipe weld together cages. Unfortunately, we do not have a family portion for our Sport and Baja cages.
Asked by Javier, April 19, 2019
Q: What is the total price for family roll bar for 1966 six point connection at the body?
Answered by ☆ sales - April 19, 2019
A: You will want to look at our part #4241. It is our complete San Felipe kit, with main hoop, plus the front and rear portions, all together.
Asked by Mud, April 9, 2017
Q: For a stock 76, safe to assume that it is necessary to remove the hard top to install?
Answered by ☆ sales - April 10, 2017
A: Yes, you will want the top removed. This will aid in fitting and welding.
Asked by David, August 23, 2016
Q: Can this be attached to frame for safety?
Answered by ☆ sales - August 26, 2016
A: The family portion welds onto the San Filipe main cage. So technically you would need to tie that into the frame, and that would in turn, strengthen the family portion.
Asked by David, December 23, 2013
Q: I have a 77. Will this attach to my stock roll bar?
Answered by ☆ 8578 - December 23, 2013
A: There really is no stock roll bar for a 77. If you have a dealer installed unit it is most likely an old Smittybuit unit. if that's the case our weld-in cage will work great. If you want to be sure email us some pics at [email protected]
