Product Overview:

This precision early Bronco instrument cluster voltage regulator appears identical to the OEM 66-77 Bronco instrument voltage regulator from the outside. However, inside it features modern electronic components to solve many of the problems that are common with the stock mechanical units. The factory early Bronco IVR had to warm up before a reading could be somewhat accurate. Even then, it was prone to failure and the design made getting a precise reading on your early Bronco gauges nearly impossible. This updated electronic instrument voltage regulator is much more precise and extremely reliable.

Early Bronco Precision Instrument Cluster Voltage Regulator

Upgrade your 66-77 Ford Bronco's instrument cluster with our Precision Electronic Voltage Regulator. Designed to solve common problems associated with the original mechanical units, this regulator offers modern electronic reliability while maintaining the stock appearance.

66-77 Ford Bronco Electronic Instrument Voltage Regulator Features:

  • Stock Appearance with Modern Electronics: Looks identical to the OEM voltage regulator, using the same style housing and mounting for a seamless fit. Features advanced electronic components for enhanced precision and reliability compared to the original mechanical units.

  • Surge Protection: Prevents damage to the regulator or gauges caused by a damaged charging system, wiring problems, or high amp battery chargers.

  • Heat-Free Operation: Generates no heat, eliminating the risk of heat-related failures common with aftermarket mechanical conversions. Operates consistently from -40°F to +185°F without being affected by external temperatures.

  • Steady Performance: Provides constant, stable gauge readings with no random fluctuations, deflections, or jerking movements. No warm-up period required. Maintains steady voltage/current output regardless of battery voltage, performing with as little as 5.8 volts DC input.

  • Gauge Protection: Eliminates gauge damage caused by sticky mechanical regulators and prevents needle pegging on start-up.

  • Noise Suppression: Factory Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) filters ensure no radio noise or interference is generated.

  • No Adjustments Needed: Pre-set from the factory, requiring no adjustment unlike mechanical IVRs.

  • High Capacity: Capable of driving up to five factory gauges continuously at 100% duty cycle.

Installation Note:

  • Non-Adjustable Screw: The screw in the bottom is merely to fill a hole and is not an adjustment screw.

  • Versatile Compatibility: Replaces the stock mechanical regulator in 66-77 Bronco, 60-66 Thunderbird, 65-66 Torino, 65-66 Falcon, 65-66 Fairlane, 64-66 Ford pickups, and 64-66 Mustang.

Upgrade your classic Ford vehicle with the Early Bronco Precision Electronic Voltage Regulator. Order now and enjoy accurate, reliable gauge readings with the seamless look of an original part!

Seems to be working well. My only complaint is the posts are reversed, which required adding an extension to the downstream wire so it would reach.

I tried a new pig tail before going with product due to the gas gauge always saying full. Installed in minutes and now my gas gauge works! Why did I wait so long! The bolt is 1/4 btw

The Precision Electronics regulator is working as advertised. Decided to go this route after two original style regulators failed in 2 months. Received the product within 2 days of placing the order.

This voltage regulator is a great improvement over the original. Gage's no longer peg and they run more accurately. However I had to install a Ford temperature sending unit to get an accurate temp reading. After market sending unit are calibrated right for the ford instrument panal typically they are calibrated to peg at 220/240 degrees. The Ford unit is set at 260. Now all is well but the Ford sending unit cost me $48.
