Our 4 bolt quick ratio steering system features a NEW Quick Ratio steering box. Everything else in the kit is also brand new. This kit gives the same feel, maneuverability and handling characteristics as our brand new Quick Ratio box but with a substantial cost savings.

Our 4 bolt quick ratio power steering conversion kit features a brand new Quick Ratio power steering box. Everything else in the kit is also brand new. The power steering gearbox is a direct bolt-on, using the factory holes in the frame. An additional fourth bolt hole can be utilized for added strength. The new heavy duty Delphi-style pump comes with the V-belt pulley installed ready to bolt on. All brackets, hoses and hardware are included. This deluxe system comes with a custom lower steering shaft specifically designed for your application. Stock and drop pitman arms will work with this box. Simple straight forward install.

Don't forget double groove crank and water pump pulleys if you don't already have them.

Asked by Jamie Graham, April 30, 2024 02:43

Q: Do you have a power steering conversion kit for the straight six (6) motor?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - April 30, 2024 15:18

A: Unfortunately at this time we do not. We currently do not have a power steering pump bracket for the straight 6.

Asked by Jeff, January 11, 2023

Q: Will this kit work with the Coyote 5.0?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - January 11, 2023

A: The power steering pump bracket will not mount the PS pump to a Coyote 5.0. We do not currently have a bracket for that motor.

Asked by Gary, March 14, 2022

Q: Is the lower shaft that comes with the kit an adjustable shaft? I will have a 2.5 suspension lift and a 1 BL with a new Ididit tilt column. Thanks

1 Answer

Answered by sales - March 14, 2022

A: Yes it is. The shaft included, is the 2161 shaft, that is extendable and collapsible.

Asked by Gary Lynne Richey, February 12, 2022

Q: I'm doing a frame-off restomod on my 77 and have leaking factory gear box and pump. Would this be a good option to refresh the factory system? I also bought a tilt-column from you along with 1 body lift and 2.5 suspension lift. Thanks!

1 Answer

Answered by sales - February 14, 2022

A: Absolutely. This kit is a great way to freshen or update any 66-77 Bronco.

Asked by Kenneth Thompson, December 1, 2020

Q: I have an Explorer powerplant with a power steering pump and divorced reservoir. Do you have the hoses to adapt to that pump or is it not recommended for this gearbox?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - December 2, 2020

A: We do not have a direct fit hose. Depending on tire size and use, the Explorer pump can leave some to be desired, or may squeal under load. We really like the GM style Delphi pumps, like #2009.

Asked by Christopher Rueff, October 17, 2019

Q: What ratio is this steering box?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - October 17, 2019

A: The box is 4 turns, lock to lock, 4:1.

Asked by Anonymous, October 26, 2016

Q: Will this system work with a stock 1976 manual shift steering column?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - October 31, 2016

A: Yes it will. You will need to select the correct fitting for the steering column. If your 76' had stock power steering select 73-77 stock p/s column, otherwise select manual steering column.

Asked by Jon vernon, March 27, 2016

Q: Will this kit work with the stock suspension , steering column and shaft my bronco is a all stock 72

1 Answer

Answered by sales - March 28, 2016

A: This kit will work with stock suspension and 72 column. The stock shaft will need to be cut to allow the custom steering shaft.

Works very well. Did find some clearance issues with the gear box and aftermarket radiator but was easy to rectify.

Great kit, I should have installed a long time ago. Installation notes: Do not bother to install the fourth bolt in the gearbox (to many reasons to list here) and use a copper seal between the Gearbox and the high pressure fitting.

WORKS GOOD, ONLY PROBLEM WAS I HAD TO CUT RAG JOINT OFF. SPLINE WAS PEENED OVER. PER INSTRUCTIONS I TRIED STEERING WHEEL PULLER.

Package arrived on time and in good shape. I haven't had time to install it yet, but I'm assuming everything will fit well.

Wildhorse customer service could even teach Disneyland a thing or two. They guided us with the install, even diagnosed faulty pump. When it finally came together, I now have the sweetest power-steering on the planet. You can steer with one finger.
