Early Bronco Rear Leaf Springs w/Extreme U-Bolt Kit & Bushings

Smooth Ride. Solid Lift. Built for the Street and the Trail.

Give your classic Bronco a proper lift without sacrificing ride quality. This kit features a pair of our All Terrain Rear Leaf Springs - providing the perfect balance of flex and control. To ensure you have everything you need to get the most out of your new All Terrain Leafs, it also includes a set of new Urethane Spring & Shackle Bushings as well as our Extreme Duty U-Bolts & Plates Kit. Whether you’re replacing tired stock springs or ditching a stiff setup that makes every bump feel like a pothole from hell, these are the springs your Bronco deserves.

About WILD HORSES All Terrain Leaf Springs: These leaf springs are built to give your Bronco a smoother ride and better articulation. Whether you're staying stock or going big with a 5.5" lift, these springs flex where they should and stay firm where they need to. It’s the perfect balance of comfort and control, made for Broncos that actually get used.

About the Extreme Duty U-Bolts & Plates Kit: Off-roading puts serious stress on your suspension, and stock parts just don’t cut it. We upgraded to beefy 5/8" U-bolts and thick 5/8" steel plates with smooth, rounded edges to prevent spring damage under flex. Zinc plated for strength and corrosion resistance, our Extreme Duty U-Bolt & Plate Kit is built for serious trail use—no shortcuts, no compromises.

Features:

  • Lift Height: Selectable from Stock Height to 5.5 inches

  • Fitment: 1966–77 Ford Bronco (rear suspension)
  • Sold As: Pair (left & right rear leaf springs)

  • Bushings: Urethane Leaf Spring & Shackle Bushings Included

  • U-Bolts: Extreme Duty 5/8" U-Bolts and 5/8" Thick Steel Plates Included

Shipping Info:
As is the industry standard, your leaf springs will arrive unboxed with the shipping label taped directly to the springs. Optionally, though not necessary, you can perform a quick clean-up with a can of satin black spray paint prior to installation to address any paint chips. Original springs were typically bare steel and have served for decades without touch-ups.

Pinion Angle Tip:
Lifting the Bronco will change the angle of the pinion in relation to the driveshaft. The ideal driveshaft to pinion angle is 3-degrees or less. If this angle is off too much, it can create unwanted vibration when driving and can lead to mechanical failure. If you find your pinion angle is too far off or feel some vibration after install, you may need our #1188 Steel 6-degree Shims to dial it in just right. These shims are highly recommended for our 4.5" and 5.5" Leaf Springs, and should be considered with any lifted springs selection.

Whether you're cruising the highway, hitting the backroads or heading for the trails, these springs give your Bronco a better ride and the clearance you need—without beating you up. Ready to lift your rig? We’ve got you covered.

Spring pack is a real nice product. Heavy as all get out so shipping was nuts. After having to cut half the original bolts to get my old springs out, these went in pretty easily. Got the Bronco up in the air and with the new 35's, I'll need a rope ladder to get in. Loving the look now though but with me doing a full body build I'm a ways from having it on the road to try the ride.

After the old leaf spring snapped, I installed the heavy duty rear leaf springs and ubolts on a 74 Bronco with a 3.5 inch lift that had been installed 25+ years ago. The trucks lift originally had 2.5" blocks on top of 1" add a leafs. The new parts reduced axle wrap, and helped stabilize the trucks rear end all around. The Suspension handled stiff and controlled before. I think it added a little more softness too the top, and it sits into turns better then before. Speed bumps and dips went from a stone hard bang to a softer thud. I'm running a single rancho rs5000 shock on each side with no other stabilization.

My 76 Bronco is an in town, daily driver. With 33" tires, I wanted a lift 'higher than stock' but not something I had to 'climb in and out of.' I'm extremely happy with the Premium 1.5: Suspension System w/ Bilsteins. My Bronco sits level from front to back and drives fantastic.

Replaced another brand that was really harsh. These made a big difference in the ride quality. I also bought the Bilstein shocks to round out my suspension. Love it. Should have done it before now. Justin was a big help.

Leaf springs look great and the extreme built kits and plates are built like a tank.

Customer service is top notch. Product was delivered on time and exceeds my expectations. Can't wait to get started. I highly recommend Wildhorses to anyone on the hunt for early Bronco parts.

They are very well made and made a huge difference over my factory springs

These are the nicest leaf springs I've seen for an Early Bronco! Huge improvement over the springs previously sold by Wild Horses - virtually no axle wrap, smooth ride and great flex off road. Not to mention they seem to handle the weight of all the gear I tend to haul around while 4-wheeling!
