Product Overview:

The front bar is 1 1/8" 4140 chromoly steel. You will feel the difference the moment you take your first corner. The kit comes complete with quick disconnects so when you hit the trail just unhook and go. This bar is designed to work with the stock Bronco steering box and most after market steering boxes. Tie rod over conversions can normally be accomodated with minimal modification to the end link brackets. *Please note that if you have a forward mounting shock hoop such as our #1407 (Extreme Front Shock Hoops) modification of the shock hoop WILL BE required. The front leg of the shock hoop will need to be removed and re-braced. You can switch over to the #1455 (Long Travel Shock Towers) in order to accommodate a longer shock as well.

Q: Have a 76 with Full width reverse Dana 44. Will this kit work? Do you have options for my setup? Thanks.

A: This kit is specifically designed for the 1966 - 0977 Bronco, with stock EB width Dana 30 or Dana 44. We would not expect it to fit your application.

A: We do not know of, or expect any issue with your Heim steering.

Q: Can this be used with a 2.5 lift?

A: Normally yes. However, if your Bronco has shock hoops, or some other aftermarket modifications there may be interference issues. You may review the installation instructions on the product page, before purchasing for a better understanding of the installation requirements and to compare to your Bronco.

Added the bar to my 1969 bronco with a 3 1/2 WH lift, 31x10.5x15 tires. I jacked up the front and worked one side at a time. With 7 yrs on the rebuild of the truck, dis-assembly was easy. The directions were good. One trick was install the front bolt first when putting the spring, cup and lower end link mounting plate back together. I would say that I have about 4 hrs on the install but I also needed to pull the front bumper and changed out the shocks with Bilsteins. Driving is a joy now. I have not been able to put on the miles yet but from the 5 mile jaunt I can see it gonna be a blast. The lean in the corners is tight. More testing required. This was one of my best mods to date. 4 stars (5 if it was a gift)

easy install. did have to cut my front shock hoops but not an issue. Bad concrete freeway sections now 75mph instead of 60!

This was easy to install (by myself, no lift, just one side at a time) and definitely helps with road manners. The only downside to the whole product for me was the choice of powder coat (the hammerite style is just not my thing).

Great fit, easy instructions. I'm using it on a '76 Bronco and it was a snap to put on. I was able to do the whole job in a couple of hours. No problem.
