A: No, the door straps do not come with hardware.

Asked by Adam, March 1, 2020

Q: Do I need to drill holes for the wires to come out of the door and into these straps? If so, where is the best place drill the holes?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - March 3, 2020

A: Normally yes, you will drill holes in your door and body to route the wire into and out of the straps. We like to place the hole where it is somewhat obscured by the loops of the strap. You may find a different or better way.

Great idea for a clean install. The straps I received were shorter than oem so my doors don't open as far now.

My new straps look like OEM but feel stronger AND I can run speaker wire and not worry about it getting clipped and damaged.

Great way to hide speaker and power window wires on the early Bronco

I have one of those yuppie Broncos and I'm add power locks and windows to it. My choices were something like this or painless' jamb contacts. This works a little better (and cheaper) since I am running more than a couple wires. I think the covers that shield the wires could be longer than the strap to better hide the wires (a'la Jeep JK) but I am using nice sleeving so they will still work for me. That the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars. The customer service from WH does get 5 stars though. Thanks WH.
