66-75 Ford Bronco T-Style Steering Linkage
Early Bronco T-style Tie Rods & Drag Link
The 66-75 Ford Bronco tie rod and drag link is known as the "T" style steering linkage. This early Bronco steering linkage is recognizable by a long tie rod assembly attached to the right and left steering knuckles. The 66-75 Bronco drag link attaches to this tie rod assembly on the passenger side of the Bronco and leads up to the steering gear pitman arm. Dana 30 and Dana 44 front ends use the same tie rod with no variations for 66-75 Ford Broncos. The drag link on an early 1966 Ford Bronco varied from those on 67-75 Broncos. It can be identified by the stock pitman arm casting #C6TZ-3590-H. The difference on this drag link is the ball joint taper. It's smaller than those found on 67-75 Ford Broncos, so the hole in the pitman arm is smaller as well. Ford went back to this smaller hole taper when for 76-77 Ford Broncos.
The first few years Ford used a spring loaded ball joint in the pitman arm end of the drag link. These were replaced by the regular non-spring loaded type. All of the tie rod and drag links we sell are the better non-spring loaded style.
