Product Overview:

These 10-pack Rear Leaf Springs give your Early Bronco a smoother ride and better articulation compared to the old stock 5- or 6-leaf packs. With 1.5 inches of lift, they’re perfect for adding a little height to the Bronco for better off-road performance or simply to clear slightly larger tires for a more aggressive look. Whether you're on the trail or the street, these springs offer the flex and comfort your Bronco deserves.

These springs do not include bushings or U-bolts. We highly recommend considering our Leaf Springs w/Bushings & U-bolts Kit to ensure you have everything you need for a complete installation.

Shipping Info:
As is the industry standard, your leaf springs will arrive unboxed with the shipping label taped directly to the springs. Optionally, though not necessary, you can perform a quick clean-up with a can of satin black spray paint prior to installation to address any paint chips. Original springs were typically bare steel and have served for decades without touch-ups.

Pinion Angle Tip:
Lifting the Bronco will change the angle of the pinion in relation to the driveshaft. The ideal driveshaft to pinion angle is 3-degrees or less. If this angle is off too much, it can create unwanted vibration when driving and can lead to mechanical failure. If you find your pinion angle is too far off or feel some vibration after install, you may need our #1188 Steel 6-degree Shims to dial it in just right. These shims will probably not be needed for this small of a lift, but you should be aware of the potential.

Whether you're cruising the highway, hitting the backroads or heading for the trails, these springs give your Bronco a better ride and the clearance you need—without beating you up. Ready to lift your rig? We’ve got you covered.

It took a full hardtop, heavy duty rear bumper, a swing-out hitch mounted spare tire carrier with a 32" spare, and a rear full-width Garvin rack to achieve a net 1" lift. When I add camping gear, 10 gals of water, a full ice chest, and 180 lbs of dogs, it sits about a half inch high. Add the tongue weight of a small boat, you'd be down to stock height. My particular '69 has always had the "lean" to the drivers side, viewed from the rear. The frame in front was level. No amount of re-torquing C-bushings was going to correct a 1-1/2" twist in the frame. I would never recommend removing more than just the "one" bottom leaf. I tested the ride as a 9pkD 8pkP, and the ride was terrible and load capacity was lacking a true progressive spring rate. As a result, I'm currently running the full 10 pack on the drivers, and a 9 pack on the pass side, and stock height front springs. The bottom leaf alone will account for roughly 3/4" of lift. So far I've given them a pretty good workout, and they do the job!
