Asked by Thomas Mehl, October 20, 2021

Q: How long before this needs to be replaced and how will I know when it's time? Will it make a difference based on whether it is driven 2,000 miles a year vs 15000?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - October 26, 2021

A: The life is hard to estimate. We just check it at oil changes to make sure the electrode is still in place. When it has deteriorated, we replace it. Water, use, care, and maintenance all are factors.

Asked by Frank Sambataro, March 17, 2020

Q: Is the anode replacable and is the cap chrome ?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - March 17, 2020

A: We normally replace the entire cap, and do not know of a replacement anode. The cap is zinc plated, not chrome.
