Flex-Master 4-inch Lift Rear Leaf Springs | 78–96 Bronco & 73–96 F150

These Flex-Master 4-inch lift rear leaf springs were designed from the ground up to deliver the perfect balance of strength, flexibility, and real-world function for full-size Broncos and F150 4WDs. Whether you're building for the trail or just want a better ride with added lift, this 7-pack, progressive rate spring set gets the job done with features serious wheelers will appreciate.

Each spring features Berlin eyes on both ends and a double wrap front eye for added safety and durability. We upped the center pin size to 7/16"—a serious upgrade over the factory 3/8" pin—to handle modern wheeling stress. To reduce friction and noise, UHMW polyethylene tip inserts are integrated into each leaf. For easy installation, they’re built with a flat spring pad surface to ensure proper contact with your axle perch.

Would these rear springs work for a 79 F150 long bed? Just curious, Thanks in advance, You Guys Rock! See more »

Sure, we have had our leaves used in F100's and F150's of that era. A long bed should be no trouble. We do not have the correct length u-bolts for the trucks, the 78-79 Bronco u-bolts are too short. You'll need to source those. Thank you!

They team at WH4X4 did their homework on leaf springs. you could design your own leaf springs for a perfect fit, but it would cost you 4 times what this spring costs. I first lifted my 1975 F100 with an off the shelf kit from a well known brand. The truck was stiff. Really stiff. The root cause was the one size fits all spring that fit 1973-1996 100-350 trucks. rated at 350lb per inch. When I got the 791140, I quickly realized these guys built a spring targeting a vehicle under 5000lbs. Rating the spring it appeared to keep a smooth 205lb per inch through 10'' of travel. once installed on the vehicle, my 4680lb truck raised a bit more than before. (closer to 5'' lift). My favorite feature is the spring had a custom shape to it. this allowed the install without a spring wedge. Wedges often break and spit out during hard off roading. My pinion remained aimed at the transmission, so no vibrations came with the change. Once installed, the new spring also allowed for more droop. allowing me to run a longer shock. Cool additional features like shims between the leafs, plastic sliders, and diamond cut corners are all the stuff high end performance springs charge extra for are included. The ride quality definitely improved. only negative thing I can say, is the Military wrap makes noise. (they all do) when the loose part of the spring touches the spring mount or the main leaf. Final thoughts? Pair this spring with nice shocks and I think you could compete in your local off road event.
