Q: Does this also fit 78-79 F-150’s with the NP205?

A: Yes, these are also useable on the 73-79 F150.

Q: what do you have to do to the 205 transfer case to use the twin stick, I have been told you have to take the case apart an alter some parts. 1978 f-150

A: Standard installation does not require any internal changes or modifications. However, if you want to be able operate the front and rear separately, internal modifications are necessary.

Once installed and linkage adjusted I'm very happy with the product. It took a little more finesse than I was expecting, had to cut about 3/4" off the all thread to get it all lined up, but once installed I'm very happy. Took me about 4 hours, but I installed with the transfer in the vehicle didn't drop the front drive line or anything. Its a tight fit but if you go in the right order it slips in there nicely. All in all I'm very happy with the install. Great product.

If I would have known it was that easy to twin stick a 205 I would have done it years ago.the instructions were easy to read an entire process only took about 3 hours start to finish.
