Product Overview:

These brackets lower the trac bar closer to the factory angle. We recommend them on all lifts of 3" or more. These are also a must for 2 1/2" lifted Broncos using the F-100-350 2 WD steering box conversion. The trac bar drop bracket should be used in conjunction with a drop pitman arm when you are using a stock type tie rod and drag link system, but do not use the drop pitman arm with the F-100-350 2 WD steering box conversion. Although these brackets bolt on, welding is required for proper and complete installation of the drop bracket.

The extra photos above are for reference. Our brackets fit the stock unmodified frames as shown in the second image above. Do not remove the stock drop bracket.

Asked by Bob Wood, May 18, 2017

Q: I have a '76. I purchased this drop bracket, installed as instructed. Also purchased the chromoly track bar. The track bar comes with bushings that use a 9/16 bolt on the frame (drop bracket) end, but the drop bracket has a bolt hole for the track bar that is 5/8. Obviously we don't want a 9/16 bolt that will allow play within the 5/8 bolt hole in the drop bracket...how to solve?

A: There is a sleeve to bush the 5/8 hole down to 9/16 for the 76 and 77. Part #1242
