Q: My 1975 Bronco has always leaked where the stock slide-in dip stick tube connects with the oil pan. To use the screw-in dip stick tube, I'll need to buy a whole new pan that has the threaded female connection, right? Or is there another way?
Answered by ☆ sales - December 7, 2021
A: Correct, and the screw in ones normally leak too. Trying to seal, or re-seal what you have may be best. If it is too far gone, you do need change the whole pan. If you do buy an new pan, do anything you can to seal the area permanently before installing. Otherwise, some will plug the pan off completely, and do a timing cover style dip stick.

Q: About this dipstick tube
Im looking for one that threads into my 1991 roller 302 block. It has dual sump pan but the diptube needs to thread into my block on drivers side between cyl #7 and 8.
Will this fit? I've tried a few from other vendors and none fit.
Answered by ☆ sales - October 3, 2019
A: No, this is designed to screw into the oil pan, not the block. The thread size is 5/8-18 tpi.
