This is the hose for the right or left stock drum brakes. We recommend replacing both at the same time.

Built to DOT Specifications

Everybody claims to have DOT "approved" or "certified" brake hoses, but do they? WH felt you should know that the Department of Transportation has accepted and recorded WH's designation symbol "*359" which was submitted in accordance with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 106, Brake hoses. This symbol is crimped into each of our OEM style end fittings, as required by Standard No. 106 and identifies Wild Horses Inc. as the manufacturer of the brake hose assemblies you see here. We manufacture both our rubber and our stainless steel hose assemblies using state of the art equipment with the highest quality materials available. Bottom line is WH brake hose assemblies are made to the specifications set forth by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 106, Brake hoses. Put our hose assemblies side by side with the generic ones from others and you will see a big difference in the materials, quality and construction.

Rubber Brake Hoses

Our rubber hoses are designed to be direct replacments for your stock hoses. Our end fittings are virtually identical to the OEM end fittings plus they are cad plated to add corrosion resistance.

Stainless Steel Braided Brake Hoses

Our stainless steel braided hose has a clear jacket with printed lay lines. The clear jacket protects the S.S. hose and keeps out the dirt and grime that causes ordinary S.S. hoses to deteriorate quicker. With each hose assembly we use rubber support inserts between the coupler and hose. This enables the assembly to function properly under constant movement and vibration.

Asked by Anthony Fee, February 8, 2013

Q: What is the difference between Item #3180 Drum Brake Hose R or L and item #3195 SS outer front brake lines pair? I recently just removed my ss brake lines that go to wheel cylinder. I have drum brakes on front and back. 1970

A: #3180 are flexible brake hoses. #3195 are brake lines. Not flexible. The lines (3195)run from the center hose at the top of the front differential to the 3180.
