71-76 Bronco Fuel Cap (This listing): This fuel cap has a longer reach than early gas caps as shown in the right side of the second image in this listing. This cap was used in 1970-76 Ford Broncos and is also commonly the correct cap for use in aftermarket fuel filler necks.
66-70 Bronco Fuel Cap (Part #9764): Shown on the left in the second image, this cap has a shorter reach into the filler neck.

Q: I recently installed a Holley Sniper and am wondering if this Gas Cap will be vented well enough so that I do not have to have a secondary vent coming off the tank itself. I currently have a secondary vent line off the tank running up into my rear bed pillar, the only issue is when doing harder trails I get a lot of slosh and spillage out of this vent line. Hoping to eliminate the smell and the waste of fuel. Thanks

A: The fuel cap lets air in, not out. So secondary venting will likely still be needed. There are check valves on the market that can be added so fuel will not escape, but allows the tank to breath. Just search online Rollover vent valve Or Fuel vent valve.

A: Yes, this cap is compatible with the 9727 and 9729 filler necks.

...but it's the RIGHT gas cap! Local parts stores have caps, but the locking tab was too deep, or some other issue. This is the CORRECT cap for my Bronco :) Comes ready to paint. A couple coats of rattle can and it looks awesome.
